All of our products are high in protein and low in fat, and naturally sweetened for an optimal flavor profile. We believe High-in Protein doesn’t have to taste like a dried up chalky protein bar. Our jerky is slowly-marinated overnight in our signature recipes. We believe that good things take time, so we don’t cut corners. Our unique slicing & marinating techniques is what creates that fresh-steak feel. Because of this, Chops isn’t a jerky that you have to wrestle with. It also has the natural moisture and texture of fresh beef brisket – that is why some pieces are big, some are small, and every once in a while, you might see some marbling! Since we use higher quality beef and we cut it thinner, we don’t have to dry it as long. We also marinate our product overnight, which is why our jerky is exceptionally tender. We believe life is tough enough, and jerky shouldn’t be another thing you have to wrestle in it.
We care about the quality of our products as well as the environment. Currently all of the grass-fed jerky is sourced from New Zealand and Austria and this has a much higher carbon footprint. We instead use 100% American beef.
This means we source beef from only USDA-certified steer, raised for beef. Often other companies use ungraded top-round cuts of beef, which means it is coming from the rear-end of old dairy cattle that no longer produce milk.
Yes, we only use Gluten-Free Tamari Sauce.
We use high-quality beef brisket, and just like a fresh steak sometimes there a small piece of fat within the jerky. This enhances the flavor of the jerky, but don’t worry there is very minimal amounts of fat in the product – see the back of the bag!
